March Rewind
When is spring gonna sprung?
Dear Readers,
We’re plowing through the school year, and I only have one workday until spring break! Unfortunately, the weather here in Budapest hasn’t gotten the memo. It’s been gray and clammy. Hopefully, we’ll have a breakthrough soon.
Lately, I’ve been getting out with friends as much as possible to play my new favorite game, padel. It’s easier than tennis but more challenging than pickleball. It’s a lot of fun!
It was a good month for getting things published. I had the following pieces published with Third Coast Review:
A Midwesterner Abroad: Celebrating a St. Patrick’s Day in Budapest.
A TV review of Netflix’s Vladimir, a show I kind of hated.
My big travel achievement of the month is going to Nottingham, England. I visited some college friends, toured the city, and attended my first Premier League football match! The game was scoreless, 0-0 (I admit it, I don’t get soccer—why doesn’t anyone win!?), but we had a ton of fun, and I’m so glad I got to see my friend, explore the city, and attend the game.
These are the new movies I saw this month:
Songs Sung Blue (3.5/5)
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (2.5/5)
Project Hail Mary (4/5)
I’ll be doing a lot of traveling this month as my time in Europe winds down. The April photo dump should be epic.
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading.
xo, Tory
